A commercial fire alarm inspection is required every year, tied to your building's commissioning month. Missing it puts your occupancy, your insurance and your tenants at risk. We track the dates and the requirements so you don't have to. Our CFAA-certified technicians perform fire alarm testing and inspection on systems of all makes and models, to current Alberta codes and standards. When something's found, you get a clear deficiency report and timely correction, and your documentation arrives in a timely manner, with the invoice after the work is complete.
Each fire alarm manufacturer authorizes only a limited number of dealers. As Calgary's Kidde Authorized Dealer, named Kidde Dealer of the Year in 2018 and 2025, we supply, install and program Kidde fire alarm panels, replace aging panels, and supply parts to building owners and contractors. We provide the following:
Dust collectors in wood shops and similar industrial sites carry a real fire risk. A HansenTek suppression system watches the ductwork: when a spark is detected, a spray system extinguishes it before it can become a fire, and if multiple sparks are detected in a short time-frame, the system shuts the collector down and sprays a deluge of water into the collector to stop a fire from starting.
We are certified to perform annual inspections, troubleshooting and maintenance on HansenTek dust collector suppression systems. If you run dust collection in a wood shop, manufacturing plant or industrial facility, this inspection belongs on your calendar with the rest of your fire protection. Installation of these systems can be coordinated, but is not done in-house.
Book a Dust Collector Suppression Inspection →Severe weather can be hard on certain fire alarm components, and trouble conditions rarely pick a convenient moment to show up. We diagnose and correct them efficiently, on all makes and models. Small programming changes can usually be handled within days.
Emergency lighting only matters at the worst possible moment, which is exactly why it gets inspected. We handle inspection, maintenance, service, replacement and installation on all makes and models. Where possible, we include your emergency lighting inspection into the same annual visit as your fire alarm inspection, one appointment instead of two.
Beyond our in-house work, we coordinate every related trade, so one call still covers your whole building.
We coordinate fire extinguisher inspection, maintenance and replacement for extinguishers and hoses, for offices, warehouses, retail spaces and restaurants across Calgary. Tagged, documented and ready when needed, coordinated through one call.
We coordinate the other trades so you don't have to. For fire sprinkler inspection and maintenance, 22 South Fire manages trusted sprinkler trades end to end: one point of contact, one schedule, one source for all required documentation.
Restaurants and commercial kitchens carry a twice-yearly inspection obligation on their kitchen fire suppression system. We keep yours on schedule alongside your building's other requirements, coordinated through one call.
Hydrant flow testing, flushing, installation and repairs, plus cross connection (backflow) testing. Your fire protection doesn't stop at the front door, and neither do we.
New code editions shouldn't be your problem to decode. Our technicians hold current CFAA certification and keep up to date with the codes and standards that apply to your building. When something changes, our technicians will know exactly what it means for you and what needs to be done. When a project requires an engineer, we coordinate with our trusted partners to obtain the required documentation and permits for your project.
